Kirby was the dearest bride. She was decisive & clear on her vision from the word go. Originally she wanted to combine her mom’s wedding dress’s skirt with a new bodice for her, but all said & done we decided on a new wedding dress all together for her.

She looked so beautiful in her custom Maryke wedding dress with a full chiffon skirt (comprising of 3 half circles), a ruched chiffon bodice with corded Chantilly lace edging, delicate little lace cap sleeves and covered button detail at the back. A narrow satin belt accentuated her narrow waist beautifully. I also applique’d some lace detail from her mom’s dress onto the bodice of Kirby’s (I had to dip in coffee and dab it with paper towel until the shade matched that of her wedding dress).

As a surprise for her I sewed the lace that was around the hem of her mom’s dress onto the under skirt lining of her dress.

Kirby was the perfect Classic Bride.
